fairly I believe my biggest asset as a therapist is my unwavering dedication to engaging in my own therapy and internal transformation work. I will stay committed to my internal work because I understand the value that it can add to my life, and the lives of others.
I am a fairly directive therapist who will validate your strengths and the challenges you face, while gently guiding you to embody a state of greater awareness and self-empowerment. When I say 'directive', I do not mean that I will offer you advice about your life, since that's not my place. I mean that I will try my best to be directive in how we use our session time together to lead to the most valuable outcomes. It's of great importance that we both feel fulfilled in the work we do together, and we can see the clear and positive impact it has on you and your life.
I received my bachelors degree from the University of Washington and my masters degree from Bastyr University and I am dually licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC), and a certified nutritionist (CN). Before starting my own practice, I worked for Seattle Counseling Service, a community mental health agency that serves the LGBTQ community.
My personal interests include art, crafting, nature, animals, foraging, herbs, cooking, health, personal/spiritual development, and singing.
